Milwaukee Electric Tool Corporation is an industry leading manufacturer and marketer of heavy-duty, portable electric power tools and accessories for professional users worldwide.

Since its founding in 1924, Milwaukee has focused on a single vision: to produce the best heavy-duty electric power tools and accessories available to professional user. Today, the Milwaukee name stands for the highest quality, durable and reliable professional tools money can buy.

Milwaukee was founded in 1924 by A.F. Siebert around the “Hole-Shooter”, the first lightweight, portable, one-handed 1/4" capacity drill. The Company continued its reputation as an innovator by designing a unique, space-efficient Right-Angle Drill in 1949, the first self-contained portable electric hacksaw, the Sawzall® reciprocating saw in 1951, and the Hole-Hawg® high-torque drill in 1970, all of which became the industry standard for contractors. After 1-1/2 years of rigorous testing, the Super Sawzall® reciprocating saw was introduced in 1991 with an industry leading 1000 W and 0 – 2800 SPM.

Since its founding in 1924, Milwaukee has been an industry leader in new product innovation with over 137 US and 179 foreign patents awarded as of the end of 2002. Innovative new products include the Tilt-Lok™, the world’s first adjustable handle circular saw and the Sawzall - The Hatchet® recip saw with 6-position rotatable handle.

The innovation continues today with the Lok-Tor™ Series of Driver/Drills and Percussion Drills, a part of the industry’s broadest line of 18 volt cordless tools with interchangeable batteries. From customer input research, CAD design, in-house extensive life and reliability testing, rapid prototype development and field testing to final product launch, Milwaukee prides itself on its reputation for delivering innovative, quality products.
